Jaguars interview one of Jeff Hafley’s top assistants for defensive coordinator job

Green Bay Packers linebackers coach and run game coordinator Anthony Campanile interviewed with Liam Coen and the Jacksonville Jaguars for the team’s open defensive coordinator job, the Jaguars announced Tuesday.

Campanile, 42, just completed his first season under Jeff Hafley in Green Bay.

After spending almost a decade at the college level, Campanile joined the Miami Dolphins in 2020 and spent four seasons as the team’s linebackers coach. Hafley brought him to the Packers in 2024, and Campanile helped develop rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and improve the Packers’ run defense significantly.

Interestingly, Cooper — Campanile’s prized pupil — was named the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week after his performance against the Jaguars in Week 8.
