Former Green Bay Packers linebackers coach and run game coordinator Anthony Campanile was hired to be the new defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. On Monday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Packers would be losing another coach to the Jaguars: Anthony Perkins, Jacksonville’s new secondary coach.
The grandson of three-time All-Pro running back Ron Perkins, Perkins began coaching full-time at the college level after having a cup of coffee in the NFL as a player. In 2023, he served as Oregon State’s co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach before joining the Packers as a defensive quality control coach.
