New York (AFP) - Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Aaron Colvin was among four NFL players suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season for doping violations.

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins, Green Bay Packers cornerback Demetri Goodson and Tennessee Titans receiver Andrew Turzilli were also suspended without pay for violating the league's policy against performance-enhancing drugs.

Colvin, entering his third season, is coming off a solid season in which he recorded 73 tackles and four sacks.

"I made a mistake and I will take responsibility for it," Colvin said in a statement posted on Twitter.
