GREEN BAY - If Steve Miller is the gold standard of Green Bay Packers’ Kickoff Weekend concerts for his performance for the team’s 100th season in 2018, Counting Crows just slid in right behind him.
Thirty-one years to the day that the band’s debut album, “August and Everything After” came out, vocalist Adam Duritz & Co. sounded as good Saturday night outside Lambeau Field as “Mr. Jones,” “Round Here” and “Rain King” did the first time you heard them in the ’90s.
If you needed a reminder of just how long ago that decade was, Duritz dropped a reference to the band’s appearance on “VH1 Storytellers” to help you out.
