ALLEN PARK -- Jeff Okudah still hasn’t been to an NFL game. Not when he was a kid, not when he was in college, and not even since the Detroit Lions made him the third overall pick in the NFL draft.
That is expected to change on Sunday, and he should have a pretty good view too: In the starting lineup, staring down Aaron Rodgers.
“We brought him here for a reason,” fellow cornerback Amani Oruwariye said. “He knows what he’s doing. He’s ready.”
The reason Okudah was brought in was to help replace Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay, and tighten up a Lions secondary that allowed the most passing yards in the league last year.
