White was activated by the New York Giants off the practice squad on Wednesday.
And the irony here is deep.
White was the Packers’ leading receiver during the preseason, which earned him a roster spot coming out of training camp for the first time in three tries. Momentarily, anyway.
The Packers released White when they signed James Jones, who was released during final cuts by the very same New York Giants.
The Giants essentially chose Preston Parker to be their third receiver behind ODB and Rueben Randle until Victor Cruz got healthy, despite the fact that Jones led the team in receiving during the preseason.
