The Green Bay Packers made their first salary cap saving maneuver of the offseason, restructuring Rashan Gary’s contract.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Packers reworking Gary’s contract freed up $4.781 million in cap space for the 2024 season.
Gary just signed a four-year $96 million deal last season, but with a roster bonus of $6.2 million for the 2024 season, there was some money for the Packers to work with when it came to completing a restructure. Before this move, Gary was set to account for $15.92 million against the 2024 salary cap.
