By now Green Bay Packers fans have heard the bad news about Jordy Nelson.
The initial diagnosis on the injury to Pro Bowl WR Nelson is a season-ending torn ACL injury.
Obviously, if today’s MRI confirms this diagnosis, it is a huge, huge loss for the Packers WR corps. However, there has been precedent for the team losing a star receiver and the season still being salvageable (see the 1996 season when WR Robert Brooks went down with a season-ending knee injury and WR Antonio Freeman being sidelined for part of the season with an arm injury).
