According to multiple reports, part of the settlement the Packers organization reached with Aaron Rodgers involved the reacquisition of wide receiver Randall Cobb. Cobb all but confirmed this when he posted on social media that he was “coming home.” The deal was made official Wednesday with the Packers sending a sixth round pick in 2022 for Cobb while the Texans will pay $3 million of his salary this season.
So, what does the addition of Cobb mean for the Packers roster this season? In short, it makes an already crowded wide receiver room even more competitive.
The Packers have typically kept six receivers on their active roster in recent years although on occasion, they have kept seven.
