When back-to-back MVP Aaron Rodgers decided to come back to Green Bay and the parties agreed to a four-year extension, it became obvious that he will be the Packers starting quarterback for the near future. And then, the next question is what will the Packers do with developmental QB Jordan Love, who was selected with a 1st-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
First, the Packers are not obliged to trade Love. We still haven't seen the exact structure of Rodgers new contract, so it's premature to assure Rodgers has strong guarantees that can't be moved beyond 2022.
