In anticipation of this Saturday’s Divisional Round playoff matchup between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers, it’s only natural to think back to the most recent high-stakes meeting of the two teams in the 2020 NFC Championship game.
Of course, the Packers and Niners met in week three of this season where Aaron Rodgers engineered another signature last minute (under a minute, actually) scoring drive to put the game away.
But that was a win, and as Packers fans we expect to win but we also love to fixate on prior painful playoff memories.
I wanted to take a closer look at how the Packers and Niners have gone about filling holes and improving (or not improving) their rosters since the Niners bounced the Packers en route to the Super Bowl.
