GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Packers take on the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
The two teams have the longest-running rivalry in the NFL, and there’s always a lot of excitement when the Bears are in town.
The Packers played their first game against the Bears in 1921, and the rivalry has only grown in more than 100 years since.
Team historian Cliff Cristl said, “If not for the Packers-Bears rivalry, I doubt if the Packers would exist today. It was the biggest game in the NFL and certainly the biggest game in Chicago and Green Bay for at least the first 50 years of the Packers in the NFL, and it drew much larger crowds than any other game.
