The first few days of the NFL's free agency period in 2019 started with a bang for the Green Bay Packers. Of course, as we all remember, they would go on to sign Za'Darius Smith and Preston Smith to bring some new life to the edge-rusher position. They'd add Billy Turner for some stability on the interior offensive line and Adrian Amos would help provide reliability to the safety position.
For us Packer fans, after years of former GM Ted Thompson largely staying quiet during free agency, watching Brian Gutekunst make these aggressive acquisitions to address positions of need was certainly a breath of fresh air.
