The Green Bay Packers 53-man roster is set, for now and while there weren't many surprises, there were some moves that made a statement by general manager Brian Gutekunst.
By releasing Josh Jones, J'Mon Moore and DeShone Kizer, Gute admitted that those weren't good decisions. Technically, Jones was a Ted Thompson pick but Gute was said to have a loud voice in the room at the time so there is a connection between he and the Jones pick.
In the past, the Packers took a snail's pace approach to making changes with their roster. Not only did certain players linger around longer than they should have, but they were often given more chances to play because they had "earned them".
