Green Bay prepares for major security undertaking ahead of NFL Draft in April

GREEN BAY, Wis. —

Security preparations are quickly intensifying ahead of the NFL Draft in Green Bay this spring, the largest security undertaking the city has ever hosted.

"Busy, very busy," Capt. Ben Allen with the Green Bay Police Department said about what the next 100 days will entail.

Officials are preparing for an estimated 250,000 fans during the draft, which runs April 24-26.

The stage and theater is expected to be built and placed along Oneida Street with fans gathered in the parking lot just to the east of Lambeau Field. The bowl is expected to also be used in some capacity, although the the NFL has yet to release official plans.
