The Green Bay Packers preseason opener is only two days away, and on Thursday we’ll finally get our first preview of the 2015 Packers as they take the field against the New England Patriots.
Don’t expect a long look at Aaron Rodgers and the Packers dynamic offense. Typically, starters only play a series or two before retiring to the bench for the rest of the day.
However, the first preseason game offers important playing time for young players trying to make an impression. In my opinion, the most interesting part of the preseason is when the starters resign and the reserve players come into the game to battle for a roster spot.
