A day after AL.com’s Tom Green reported Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Montravius Adams’ arrest in Georgia, Mike Pettine had a press conference in Wisconsin.
The NFL team issued a statement on the former Auburn standout’s arrest. The Green Bay defensive coordinator had his own message for the Packers’ defensive tackle: “Step up.” And he said it twice. But Pettine wasn’t talking about the off-the-field matter. He was addressing Adams’ 2020 season.
Arrested by the Houston County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia on Tuesday night, Adams was charged with three misdemeanors -- possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, driving without insurance and suspended/canceled/revoked vehicle registration -- and released from the Houston County Detention Center on a $2,964 bond.
