Ron Wolf became a scout for the Oakland Raiders in 1963 and helped build the franchise that won nine division titles, played in eight AFL/AFC championship games and three Super Bowls.
With the Raiders, Wolf took part in drafting such notable players as Art Shell, Gene Upshaw, Ken Stabler, Jack Tatum, Howie Long, Marcus Allen, and Matt Millen.
Wolf became the GM of the expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers and helped build the foundation of the team that reached the 1979 NFC championship game in the fourth season but he was gone by that time after the franchise’s 0-26 start.
