The Green Bay Packers have always been partial to selecting high character players.
Last week we read about WR Ricky Collins and the sacrifices he made after he dropped everything to return home to support his family and dad after his stroke.
“It meant a lot for me,” Collins said. “Coming from a small town and then having to stop playing football to take care of my dad and still end up getting this chance to be in the NFL is something that everybody doesn’t get — they just dream of it.”
There is a trend with Packer rookie UDFA WRs, pausing their football careers to help their families deal with critical illness involving their fathers.
