Green Bay Packers: Nick Perry, Kyler Fackrell shine in win over Giants

Fackrell–the Packers’ third-round pick in April’s draft–only played 14 defensive snaps all evening, but lit up the Giants’ backfield in that time, finishing with five tackles, a hurry and a crucial strip-sack of Eli Manning.

After a slow summer, Fackrell is rapidly becoming more comfortable in Dom Capers’ defense. Already stacked at outside linebacker, the pass rush could be the best we’ve seen under Capers. The Packers are averaging 3.5 sacks per game, which puts them on pace to rack up 56 by seasons end, four more than Denver led the NFL with in 2015.

Perry’s play is the heartbeat of Green Bay’s dominance up front both against the run and pass.
