RAS is fairly new to the NFL and it has played a part in the Packers’ draft strategy for the last couple of years now. RAS stands for relative athletic score, and it is calculated using a players’ combine results in comparison to other players at their position. I chose to do a mock draft on FanSpeak.com using Matt Miller’s big board on the difficulty setting.
Every player I drafted was selected based on a combination of the three: best player available, need, and RAS score in the “elite” range (8.0 or above out of 10.
