Another year, another Packers defensive lineman suspended.
Defensive tackle Mike Pennel will miss the Packers’ first four games in 2016 after a violate of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. This is disappointing for Pennel, who was in line for an increased role on the defensive line. Now, he’ll have to wait until Week 5.
For the first quarter of the season, the Packers’ defensive line lacks depth. That is, of course, unless they add talent this offseason. We all know Ted Thompson‘s shyness in free agency, which means the likely solution would be in the 2016 NFL Draft.
