GREEN BAY - The Minnesota Vikings signed linebacker Jamin Davis to their active 53-man roster off the Green Bay Packers practice squad, the Vikings announced Tuesday.
Davis joined the Packers' practice squad Oct. 29 after being released by the Washington Commanders.
By NFL rule, the Vikings have to keep Davis on the 53-man roster for at least three weeks.
Davis was drafted by the Commanders as the 19th overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft out of the University of Kentucky.
He played in 50 games with 36 starts for the Commanders from 2021-24, recording 281 total tackles (173 solo), 21 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, 10 quarterback hits, an interception, six passes defensed, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a tackle on special teams.
