Green Bay Packers lose free-agent cornerback Eric Stokes to the Las Vegas Raiders

GREEN BAY − The Green Bay Packers’ pipeline to the Las Vegas Raiders isn’t a one-way portal.

After agreeing to terms with Raiders cornerback Nate Hobbs earlier this week, the Packers are losing 2021 first-round draft pick Eric Stokes to Las Vegas. Stokes, a cornerback, will sign a 1-year, $4 million contract with the Raiders, according to NFL Network.

It’s a deal much lower in value than Stokes may have once expected after a promising rookie season that included one interception and 14 defended passes. Injuries truncated his second NFL season in 2022 and, despite playing all 17 games last season, his career has not yet recovered.
