The Packers have long been considered one of those franchises that place an extremely high value on drafting high-character individuals. Scan through the last few draft classes and you’ll see higher institutions of learning (Stanford, Northwestern, UCLA, et. al.) attached to some of the names they’ve opted to invest in.
But as much as the draft is constantly overanalyzed to the point of insanity at times, there is no foolproof method to stockpiling an NFL roster with solid citizens that combine the traits of being outstanding athletes and conscientious humans that regard football above and beyond anything else in their current lives.
