The first wave of free agency has hit us with the force of a sweeping tornado, as the Giants, Jaguars and a host of other NFL teams have enticed and ultimately signed high-level free agents by lavishing them with guaranteed dollar amounts ranging anywhere from $40 to $50 million in some cases.
Yet in the midst of this buying frenzy, the Green Bay Packers sit patiently on the sidelines waiting for those free agent dollars to dry up in hopes of acquiring quality talent at reasonable rates.
