GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers donated $2 million to Brown County and Milwaukee to assist efforts dealing with coronavirus.
The team on Monday donated $1.5 million to establish the COVID-19 Relief Funds in Brown County and $500,0000 to be used in Milwaukee. The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation will manage the fund in Brown County in collaboration with the team; various community partners will receive the money in Milwaukee, the Packers said.
"We know our nonprofit support agencies will be performing their usual excellent work, but they'll need additional resources as various needs and gaps in coverage develop in the coming weeks and months," said Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy in a release.
