Giants pivoting to Aaron Rodgers following Matthew Stafford’s decision

The New York Giants, along with the Las Vegas Raiders, tried to recruit Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford to their organization this offseason after the Rams and Stafford hit some speedbumps on a new contract extension. On Friday, it was announced that the Rams and Stafford were able to see eye-to-eye on a new deal, though, which now leaves both the Giants and Raiders without starting quarterbacks going into the 2025 season.

Shortly after that news broke, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini stated that New York is looking at adding former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to their team, now that Stafford is out of the picture.
