This week, those curveballs are defensive end Mike Daniels and receiver Davante Adams.
Both are listed as questionable. Joining them as questionable are center Corey Linsley and guard T.J. Lang.
Sam Shields, as we already noted this morning, joins Montgomery in being ruled out for Sunday’s game in Oakland.
Daniels — he of the new four-year, $10 million per year contract — is clearly the biggest name on this list. He hurt his hamstring against Dallas and has been limited in practice this week. We’re cautiously optimistic that he’ll play. If he cannot, Letroy Guion and Mike Pennel will likely get the majority of snaps at end.
