A host of third-year players around the league earned hefty pay raises for their fourth season thanks to something called the "proven performance escalator." The four Packers players are Kyler Fackrell, Blake Martinez, Dean Lowry and Antonio Morrison.
Part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, this escalator rewards third-year players drafted in Rounds 3-7 that have exceeded expectations for their draft position as determined by having met either of these two criteria:
1) The player participated in a minimum of 35% of his team’s offensive or defensive plays for either two of his three seasons.
