Former UAB offensive tackle Kadeem Telfort re-signed for another season with the Green Bay Packers, the NFL team has announced.
Telfort went into the offseason as an exclusive-rights free agent -- a player with fewer than three seasons and an expiring contract. He would have become an unrestricted free agent on March 12 without a contract tender from the Packers.
But Green Bay did tender a contract to Telfort, and that essentially tied the lineman to the Packers for 2025. Under NFL rules, if his original team offers the ERFA a contract, he cannot negotiate with other teams.
