On Thursday, ESPN announced that former Green Bay Packers receiver Randall Cobb will be a studio analyst for the SEC Network this fall. So unless Cobb plans on signing with another team and playing football between his trips to Charlotte, you can take this as Cobb’s retirement from the NFL.
Cobb was drafted from the SEC’s Kentucky by the Packers in 2011. A college quarterback-turned-receiver, Cobb excelled in Green Bay as a slot receiver. His best season came in 2014, right around the time for a contract extension, when he was able to catch 91 balls for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns.
