Former Packers TE Andrew Quarless suspended two games

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Former Green Bay Packers tight end Andrew Quarless has been suspended for the first two games of the season, a source told ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter.

The suspension is for a violation of the personal-conduct policy and stems from his arrest in July 2015, when he was charged with a misdemeanor for firing a weapon in public. Shortly before his trial in November, he entered a no contest plea in exchange for the fine, probation and other penalties.

Quarless is currently out of the NFL. He was not re-signed by the Packers following last season, when he caught just four passes for 31 yards in five games.
