Two former members of the Green Bay Packers landed on practice squads ahead of Week 1 of the regular season. The New England Patriots signed offensive tackle Caleb Jones, while the Seattle Seahawks signed defensive end Kenneth Odumegwu.
Jones spent time on the Packers’ 53-man roster during each of the last two seasons. He failed to win a job this summer as the swing tackle — losing out to Andre Dillard, Kadeem Telfort and rookie Travis Glover — and sought an opportunity elsewhere.
