Green Bay – Lindy Infante, the coach of the Green Bay Packers from 1988-’91, died Thursday morning in Florida. He was 75.
LeRoy Butler, one of Infante’s former players, said he was notified of Infante’s death in a phone call from Stephanie Infante, his wife.
According to Butler, the cause of death was pneumonia. Stephanie Infante said her husband fell at home in the last week and suffered four broken ribs.
He was hospitalized, and at that point doctors discovered through X-rays and tests the seriousness of the pneumonia, Butler said.
Stephanie Infante told Butler that her husband died at Northeast Hospice of Florida.
