Two long-time members of the Green Bay Packers’ coaching staff who were fired in recent weeks officially have new jobs as of today. Shortly after the end of the regular season, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy fired defensive line coach Mike Trgovac, and a day later he relieved offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett of his duties.
Reportedly, the team offered Bennett the opportunity to stay on in a lower role, likely as wide receivers coach, but he declined.
Now, both Bennett and Trgovac are employed once again, and they will be coaching on the same team opposite one another for the tenth straight season after nine seasons together on the Packers’ staff.
