On Saturday, the Birmingham Stallions beat the Michigan Panthers by a score of 31-18 in the USFL Championship Game. The winner advances to play either the San Antonio Brahmas or St. Louis Battlehawks, who will compete in the XFL Championship on Sunday, for the UFL title next week.
It wasn’t looking good for the Stallions at one point, though. Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Danny Etling and his Panthers were actually up 18-3 over the favored Stallions before Birmingham ripped off 28 straight points to close out the game. The third quarter was filled with action, as there were six combined turnovers in that one quarter alone.
