Former Green Bay Packers receiver Jordy Nelson is still around the NFL, revealed in a league press release as an appeal-hearing officer in player-discipline cases.
Nelson was itemized as one of four former NFL players serving the role in the league's notice about Chargers safety Derwin James, who was suspended one game for repeated violations of safety rules, the latest a helmet-to-helmet collision against Pittsburgh on Sunday.
The suspension initially was doled out by NFL vice president of football operations Jon Runyan, the father of ex-Packers offensive lineman Jon Runyan Jr.
