Former Green Bay Packers cornerback Terrell Buckley has been named head football coach at Mississippi Valley State, an NCAA Division I school in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
FBS includes schools such as recently crowned champion North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Illinois State and Drake.
Buckley, whose only head-coaching experience was one season with the since-folded Orlando Guardians of the XFL in 2023, replaces Kendrick Wade, who went 2-21 over the past two seasons. Buckley, a Mississippi native, has been a cornerbacks coach at several stops, including Akron, Louisville, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
