The Green Bay Packers defense came up short Monday night against the New York Giants. They weren’t the only reason the team lost a winnable game, but their failures fit a familiar and disturbing pattern that we have seen in Joe Barry’s defenses since he became the team’s defensive coordinator in 2021.
One major issue with Barry’s coaching is that he seems to play all teams in a similar way. While it makes sense that a coach has an overall philosophy or approach, changes to a game plan must be made depending on who your opponent is and what the strengths and weaknesses are of their offense.
