The Green Bay Packers passed their first test in the Joe Philbin era with a 34-20 win over the struggling Atlanta Falcons.
Philbin returned to the quick passing game to get the offense rolling and in a rhythm. Aaron Rodgers made quick decisions and used his legs to get the Packers out of trouble.
The defense was able to come up with two turnovers, returning one for a touchdown, and rookie Jaire Alexander more than held his own against one of the game’s best in Julio Jones.
Now the Packers will get a true test going against the NFC North-leading Bears.
