Fans of the Green Bay Packers are attempting to help save a long-standing and cherished Packers bar in New York City.
Kettle of Fish, established in the 1950s, is run by a Wisconsin native and has become a go-to spot for Packers fans in the city.
A GoFundMe campaign created on Monday has already raised nearly $50,000 of the establishment’s $100,000 goal. Shares of the page, now over 1,500, have included the hashtag “savethekettle.”
The bar has been visited in person by several players, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
From the GoFundMe page: “Kettle of Fish is also a globally known destination bar for visitors to watch Green Bay Packers football games, so much so that Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers paid an off-season visit in 2019, and previously other Packer greats such as Jerry Kramer, John Brockington, and Dave Robinson have stopped by for games, camaraderie, and meet-and-greets.
