GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Hall of Fame quarterback Bart Starr is recovering from a broken hip after falling in the bathroom.
Starr's family issued a statement about his condition through the Green Bay Packers on Saturday. The family said Starr, who turned 82 on Saturday, fell three days before Christmas.
Starr will be in a wheelchair for six weeks but is ''doing great now'' and ''is in good spirits,'' the family said.
Starr suffered two strokes and a heart attack in 2014. But he made the trip to Green Bay on Thanksgiving for a halftime ceremony honoring another Packers great, Brett Favre.
