How do the Packers replace 1,433 defensive and special teams snaps combined in their upcoming season? The answer is unknown.
That's how many total snaps former outside linebackers Datone Jones and Julius Peppers played in Green Bay last season. The on-field production, however, didn't match the high amount of snaps. Jones and Peppers, who both eclipsed over 700 snaps each, combined for just 32 tackles and 8.5 sacks. With how often each of them saw the field - Peppers even more so — it would be ideal to line a statistics sheet with evidence of labor.
Both edge rushers no longer play under defensive coordinator Dom Capers and both no longer occupy a film room with linebackers coach Winston Moss.
