Juwann Winfree’s football career has already had more ups and downs than an elevator.
Over the past five years, Winfree played for three colleges, suffered several injuries,, and was signed and released multiple times by the National Football League’s Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers.
On Oct. 28, Winfree’s elevator finally stopped on the right floor as he caught his first NFL pass. The 2016 Dwight Morrow graduate caught four passes from quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the Packers’ upset victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
“That was a special moment for me,” Winfree said of his first catch.
