The Green Bay Packers made a move by claiming defensive lineman Ego Ferguson off waivers from the Chicago Bears on Monday. As of Wednesday, it is a non-move.
Ferguson failed his physical and was released.
It’s kind of comical in a way. Here’s a guy who was a second-round pick in 2014, the only season he’s managed to play in all 16 games. In 2015, Ferguson was put on injured reserve after four games with a knee injury. He was then suspended four games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. In 2016, he didn’t play in a game, spending the entire year on IR with a shoulder injury.
