New York Giants fans celebrated last week as undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito led a last-minute drive to defeat the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.
But that primetime win proved costly for a Morristown pizzeria, who announced that it will no longer be hosting the quarterback this week as previously scheduled.
Coniglio's Old Fashioned, in an Instagram post Sunday, said DeVito was originally set to visit the restaurant Tuesday to meet fans and sign autographs. However, DeVito's agent, Sean Stellato, reportedly informed ownership following the Packers win — New York's third victory in a row — that the quarterback's appearance fee had doubled from $10,000 to $20,000.
