GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Sam Shields said it at the time and he said it nearly a month later; he thought Dez Bryant caught the fourth-down pass in last season’s playoff game at Lambeau Field.
Officials ruled Bryant didn’t have control, making it an incomplete pass. Shields and the Green Bay Packers went on to the NFC Championship Game, while Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys went home.
Nearly a year later, the Packers cornerback had no interest in reliving one of the most controversial plays of last season. Shields said he hasn’t watched the play and doesn’t think he will -- not even in preparation for facing Bryant again Sunday at Lambeau Field.
