Despite praise, Jared Abbrederis still waiting for role in Packers' offense

GREEN BAY, Wis. – In June, Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy called Jared Abbrederis' offseason performance “exemplary” and “exceptional.” In August, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Abbrederis was having a “phenomenal [training] camp.”

Yet it’s Week 5, and the third-year receiver has barely made a contribution despite all the praise thrown his way since late last season. That's when he showed his potential with four catches for 55 yards in the playoff loss at Arizona that many thought would be a breakout performance for the former fifth-round draft pick from Wisconsin.
