After eight NFL seasons, including six with the Green Bay Packers, cornerback Davon House is retiring as a Packer for life. The announcement was made on Tuesday by general manager Brian Gutekunst.
House was drafted in the fourth round by the team during the 2011 NFL Draft. He became the first player selected out of New Mexico State University in 23 years.
Through his rookie year, House was just a depth player in what was a rather deep corner group of Charles Woodson, Tramon Williams, and Sam Shields. House made significant progress in his second season before a shoulder injury robbed him of the first six regular-season games.
